Dating back to 1983, Kabouris, a family business, continues to pay tribute to Greek cuisine, offering gastronomically thrilling dishes. Being the masters of hospitality, the owners focus on high-quality products and unrivaled taste, expressing their passion for the Greek culinary tradition through a traditional mama’s menu, with some Mediterranean touches. Housed in a two-story building just off the central Chora square, the restaurant welcomes us in an inviting environment, serving dishes such as moussaka, oven-baked lamb, and delicious mezes, all prepared with the most wholesome ingredients. We can pair our picks with exquisite local cheeses and white wine produced by the owners, completing our meal with some of their handmade sweets or homemade liqueurs. The beach bar restaurant Koumpara has been named after the homonymous beach and is just a few kilometers away from Chora. Totally summery, simple, and plain, in complete harmony with the natural landscape, it welcomes you in the casual, friendly ambient from the morning for coffee, food, and drink. Fresh fish comes directly from their boat, pasta with lobsters or shrimps, the famous kakavia, snacks for ouzo ideal when getting out with friends, and traditional dishes of Ios such as "tsimetia" and tomato balls march at its maritime menu. We serve a variety of appetizers, slow-cooked stews in a shell, grilled over coals, and new ideas. We recommend that you try our individual kontosouvlia. There are also vegan options! Of course, good wine must be present on your table. We have a nice selection of bottled wine as well as high-quality bulk wine.

It first opened its doors as a tavern in 1989 in Gialos and today still carries on the tradition of succulent delicacies of Greek cuisine. The cuckoo brings spring to Aghia Theodoti Beach! Nine kilometers away from Chora, the tasty destination for those who look for homemade, well-cooked food at reasonable prices, is set. With the sea in the background, Koukos (=cuckoo) family tavern serves classic mom-made dishes, fish, meat dishes, and vegetables directly from the owners’ garden as well as fine kinds of cheese from their farm. Thanks to the takeaway service, all goodies on the menu, coffees, and breakfasts may accompany you to the golden sands of Aghia Theodoti, just 2 minutes away from the restaurant.

We welcome you to Mylopotas, one of the most famous beaches in Greece, known for its special natural beauty. Drakos fish tavern first opened in 1962 and was named after the founder, “Uncle Giorgis Drakos”. Since then, it has acquired countless friends in Greece and all over the world!
